Tejano Monument

Nine life-size bronze statues stand on a 275-ton Texas Sunset Red Granite base with five plaques telling the story of Tejanos. The monument pays tribute to the contributions by Tejanos to Texas history and culture. Tejanos were the Spanish and Mexican explorers and pioneers who began to settle Texas after the Spanish arrival in the 1500s.
