The 2019 Texas Capitol Ornament was inspired by the famed Lone Star locomotive. This three-dimensional ornament highlights historic details that include a tall smokestack, steam whistle, bell, boilers, and cattle guard typical of steam trains of the late nineteenth century. The locomotive is festively decorated with Texas Lone Stars, Texas Flags, and a holiday wreath prominently featuring the Capitol Dome. Sunset Red granite fills the railcar making its way towards Austin to become part of the Texas Capitol.
