Texas Cowboy Monument

Overview

The Texas Cowboy Monument was erected in 1925.

The bronze statue of a cowboy riding a rearing horse stands on a concrete base. Noted American sculptor Constance Whitney created the work for an exhibition in Paris, France. She presented it to the States of Texas, "native home of the cowboy." The statue represents Warren's tribute to the "rough and romantic riders of the range."
