Rotunda Application Process

The Texas Capitol has two rotundas for public events: the Capitol 1st Floor Rotunda, available from noon to 1 PM only, and the Extension Open Air Rotunda.


  1. Read the Rotundas Policy: Download and read the Rotundas Policy (PDF) to understand the guidelines and requirements.
  2. Check Availability: View the calendar to ensure your desired date and time are available.
  3. Submit Request Form: Complete the request form at the bottom of this page and submit it for review. If you need to submit additional documents after submitting this initial request please send as an attachment to Capitol.Events@tspb.texas.gov.
  4. State Official Sponsor: A State Official Sponsor must fill out and submit the Events Sponsorship Form (PDF).
  5. Finalize Request: The SPB Capitol Events Coordinator will contact the requestor to finalize the request after it is reviewed.

Requests are processed in the order they are received.
You will be contacted by email for additional details if your request is approved or denied.
